| When you have a claim, our job is to work with
the insurance carrier to help make sure your claim is handled
to your utmost satisfaction. A claim is defined by most insurance
policies as a “demand” for money or services including
the service of a suit or institution of arbitration proceedings.
Remember, a demand can be written or oral. If you receive a demand,
please notify IMCI immediately.
Potential Claim or Circumstance:
We encourage our clients to have a proactive response regarding
circumstances that could lead to a claim. Take advantage of pre-claims
assistance whenever possible because it often minimizes the potential
size of a loss. Most policies allow you to report “circumstances”
that may reasonably give rise to a claim. Reporting circumstance
to your insurance company is a good practice. They can often help
you avoid or resolve potential claims by getting involved early.
